Big love,

Givenchy Spring/Summer 2012.

Givenchy Spring/Summer 2012.

Givenchy designer, Riccardo Tisci, reportedly lists surfers and mermaids as his influences behind this collection.
It was as if these "water babies" had come to life, walking out of the sea in tight pants, almost wet-suit like,
like a neoprene dream. Jackets with strong, confident shoulders and dresses that had ruffles and peplums
that were representative of some sort of oceanic creature.
Hair and make up were left to the minimum, with a natural wave and clean skin; only highlighted by
a sequin-like sparkle under the eye and on the eyelid to give the illusion of fish scales.

This is my most loved Givenchy collection to date. Something just resonates with me - I would
like to think it is because I was a mermaid in my past life, but it's realistically probably more due
to the fact his influences are quite similar to mine.

Tuula Travels.

Dalmation Islands, Croatia.

Cinque Terre, Italy.

Golden Eye - Oracabessa Bay, Jamaica.

NYFW - Soho, New York.

Parisian Rooftops, Paris.

Cappadocia, Turkey.
Magic! The vast valley's of Fairy Chimney's with hundreds of air balloons floating between and above them.
Definitely added this one to the bucket list!

Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia.
This is the oldest National Park in Southeast Europe and the largest in Croatia.
The parkland boasts luscious greenery, with clear blue lakes and cascading waterfalls. This is my DREAM!

Pumakkale, Turkey.
Pumakkale meaning "cotton castle". With a landscape made up of mineral forests, petrified waterfalls and a series of terraced
basins, the hot springs sit 200m above town, with views of the ruins of baths, temples and Greek monuments.
I've been lusting over this destination for quite some time now. Who knew a place could be so beautiful!

It's hard not to use the word 'wanderlust' when scrolling through Jess Stein's travel images.
Her blog, Tuula Vintage is forever flooded with envy-induced photographs of her recent travels,
leaving every human on the globe wanting to pack their suitcases and set off to explore these incredible locations.
I have fallen in love with the Plitvice National Park in Croatia having never have heard of it before.
The wide landscape covered in greenery and gushing waterfalls, with boardwalks along the greeny-
blue water, is just my dream place on earth. The hot air balloons sailing over Cappadocia Turkey is
probably the most magical location going by the photographs I have seen. I can only imagine
being in the moment then and there. And lastly, the thermal pools in Pumakkale Turkey. I could not think
of a destination more surreal. The salty rock walls and natural hot springs, decades old, with powder
blue water and minerals at the bottom to rub into your skin - Heaven!
I mean, who knew that most of these places existed? Let alone in Turkey of all places.

My travel wish list is almost bursting at the brim thanks to Jess!

Look Book | Forcast S/S 2014.

This summer, Forcast is all about mixing summer brights and crisp whites, contemporary yet timeless pieces
to take you from desk to dinner effortlessly and that signature sophisticated glamour and exquisite design.

4 stories make up this collection:

The New Hues - Which is all about subtly and gracefulness in design.
Delicate colours of powered pastels of baby blue, blush and mint.

Statement Pieces - With detail that captures the eye and imagination. Effortlessly chic style
and unique design of drapes, wraps and cut-outs that are said to leave a lasting impression.

Dress To Impress - Sophistication and glamour with a selection
of timeless cocktail dresses, jumpsuits and beautiful silhouettes.

Polished Looks - A new vision for women's workwear. Modern essentials that define
clean, sophisticated and timeless design with a twist of playfulness, colour and patterns.

There are a few pieces that went straight onto my lust list, including the all-white look (of course).
I'm a big fan of the icy whites, butter soft creams and dusty pinks in my own wardrobe, so those tones definitely won me over.
A big plus is that all of the new collection pieces could definitely be mix and matched into my own wardrobe seamlessly.

Take a peek at the rest of the collection online or in stores now.
